It should also be noted that in the majority of cases where funding is available it is paid to the approved Training Provider, not to the Employer or employee.
European Funding
European Social Funds Or Workforce Development Funds
There are also some European Social Funds and Workforce Development Funds for certain driver training/licence acquisition enterprises, accessible through training providers or the Learning and Skills Council.
In England the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) through its network of local LSC is responsible for over 16 year old education and training. Education and Learning in Wales (ELWa) and the Scottish Further education Funding Council (SFEFC) handle equivalent matters in Wales and Scotland. Companies should contact their local LSC, ELWa or SFEFC to assess the availability of Workforce Development Funds and other funding sources.
