RHA Members specialising in the transportation of Park Homes, Caravan Holiday Homes, Caravans and Boats are represented by the business sector group known as the Caravan Hauliers Group. Members of the Group also carry site offices, classroom units and other types of temporarily sited buildings.

The purpose of the Group is to maintain and promote professional standards in this area of road haulage, in order that the merchandise carried is transported in a safe manner and reaches the customer in the best possible condition.

Members' vehicles frequently carry loads which are wider than the vehicle itself, either under Construction & Use Regulations or, on occasion, under the requirements of STGO. This frequently results in the escorting of loads.

The Caravan Hauliers Group undertakes regular liaison with other industry bodies in the interests of efficiency, safety and optimising service to the users of the products it carries.

Companies in membership of the Group are concerned for the safety of other road users and are fully aware of their duties to the employees of clients, customers and their own drivers and other employees as required by Health & Safety legislation.
